Copper and Bronze Alloys
Copper and Bronze alloys have numerous uses and are known for their excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and antimicrobial applications. Copper forms a thin oxidized layer to resist corrosion when left on the surface, and it can penetrate the exterior of bacteria and viruses, defeating them on contact.
Typical Copper and Bronze grades we work with
Some of the most common variants of Copper that we work with. Many others do exist and we are capable of working with them all for your application.
C11000 Copper
Due to its high electrical conductivity—surpassed only by silver—as well as its durability, ease of use, and aesthetic appeal, copper in various forms like bars, sheets, plates, and tubes is utilized in a wide range of projects, from plumbing to wind chimes.
C145 Tellurium Copper
Also known as 145 Half Hard Tellurium, CDA 145 Tellurium Copper is used for forgings and screw machine parts like electrical connectors, motor parts, and welding torch tips because the addition of tellurium creates excellent machinability and high cutting speeds without sacrificing the material's high conductivity and corrosion resistance.
C101 Copper
Commercially pure at 99.99% and oxygen-free, 101 Copper offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity while being immune to hydrogen embrittlement at elevated temperatures.
Beryllium Copper
Beryllium copper is used in specialized applications ranging from aerospace components to tools for hazardous environments due to its desirable combination of high strength, ductility, weldability, machinability, and good thermal and electrical conductivity. It can be found in applications from bullets to musical instruments and precision measurement devices.
C954 AL Bronze
C954 bronze is the most common and versatile type of aluminum bronze alloy. It is primarily a copper-based alloy with aluminum as the main alloying element. In simple terms, it's a very strong and tough bronze known for its excellent resistance to wear and corrosion, especially in saltwater environments.
C642 AL Bronze
C642 bronze is a lead-free silicon aluminum bronze alloy offering a combination of high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good machinability, making it a reliable choice for manufacturing gears, bearings, valve components, and marine hardware.
C932 Bronze SAE 660
C932 bronze is a high-leaded tin bronze alloy widely used for general purpose bushings and bearings due to its excellent machinability and self-lubricating, anti-frictional properties.
